Optional Group Activities and Excursions

Typically we offer our group excursions on the back end of our week, from Wednesday on. But as the week progresses we find too many late nights and cocktails tend to wear down the group a bit, resulting in smaller and smaller group activities. As such, for the first time in 10 years, we are offering this year’s Xcursons on the front half of the week, before everyone gets too pooped out.

XCURSION #1

HORSEBACK RIDE “N SWIM
IN THE CARIBBEAN

Sunday, November 1st. 9:00am to 1:00pm

After breakfast we hop on a shuttle bus and drive along the scenic coastline 20 minutes to the Chukka Cove Polo Club. We’ll then saddle up for a 2 hour horseback ride through two of the oldest sugar estates on the island and Chukka Cove’s private beach for a breathtaking bareback ride in the Caribbean Sea. Afterwards, relax and take a shower while the guides re-saddle the horses for our return ride back to the stables. From there we shuttle back to arrive in time for lunch at Hedo 3.

XCURSION #2

JUNGLE RIVER TUBING SAFARI

Tuesday, November 3rd. 9:00am to 1:00pm

In 1494 when the Spanish discovered Jamaica, they named the village Ocho Rios, after the wondrous “Eight Rivers” they saw here. Our River Tubing Safari explores one of the eight rivers that the Spanish found, the amazing untouched, the White River. This Three mile ride down the White River, not only gives you the rich history and beauty of Jamaica, as you pass through coconut plantations, bamboo groves, and along river banks filled with indigenous flora and fauna . The real adventure lies in the white river’s many moods, which includes challenging white water rapids, as well as enchanting lagoons. The views and vistas of this tour, which take you between two of the islands most scenic parishes, St. Mary and St. Ann, on what we call the inter-parish express.

XCURSION #3

ZIPLINE CANOPY ADVENTURE

Wednesday, November 4th. 9:00am to 1:00pm

This is a great adventure for outdoor enthusiasts! After an extensive safety briefing and demonstration of techniques conducted by certified canopy specialist guides, you too will be ready to play “Tarzan & Jane” as you soar high above the treetops and jungle “canopy” on an intricate system of harnesses, pulleys and carabiners on horizontal traverses. Marvel at the sights and sounds of the surrounding jungle as you traverse through a series of decks and platforms mounted in the trees of the rain forest. This incomparable experience of gliding silently through a tunnel of trees is the closest you will ever come to being a jungle bird in flight. Expert photographers are available on site to capture your breathtaking adventure and memories to last a lifetime.
